Bharti Airtel is testing for its VoLTE service and the service will be started by next week. This feature of the company will work to give competition to its competitor Reliance Jio.

Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecom company, will soon launch its VoLTE service in India. According to the Economic Times report, Airtel will first launch its VoLTE service in Mumbai and after this the service will be started in other metro cities of the country. This service will hit Reliance Jio.

Since Jio's VoLTE service has been launched in September last year, it has been rumored since Airtel and Vodafone, the Indian telecom companies, will soon introduce their VoLTE services. Bharti Airtel is the first company to offer this service after Jio.

According to the report, after service starts, users of Mumbai and Kolkata will have a text message to activate VoLTE calling service. Currently Airtel provides 3G or 2G networks for voice service, while 4G networks offer the Internet to use.

According to a report, Airtel has tested this service with about 15 device models and the company is planning software patches to enable VoLTE for users.
